The product-specific documentation specifies that the product is intended for contact with aqueous, acidic, and alcoholic foods, as well as dairy products. This makes the black paper drinking straw suitable for use with, for example, water, sodas, juices, cocktails, long drinks, and similar milk-based beverages, provided the specified conditions of use are followed.

For food contact, a temperature of up to 40 °C and a duration of up to two hours are specified. This version is therefore not intended for hot beverages above this temperature.

8 mm diameter for greater liquid flow

With a diameter of 8 mm, this model has a larger opening than narrower paper drinking straws, such as those with a 6 mm diameter. This can be particularly useful for beverages where a higher flow rate is desired.
