In connection with the sale of devices containing batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following in accordance with the Battery Ordinance: Batteries may not be disposed of with household waste. As the end user, you are legally responsible for the proper disposal of used batteries. After use, you can return batteries free of charge to the point of sale where you purchased them, to municipal collection points, to retailers or by post (with sufficient postage) to the point of sale. Batteries or rechargeable batteries that contain harmful substances are marked with this or a similar symbol of a crossed-out dustbin:
Cd
Below the dustbin symbol is the chemical name of the pollutant - in the example above, "Cd" stands for cadmium. "Pb" stands for lead, "Hg" for mercury. You will also find this information again in the documents accompanying the consignment or in the manufacturer's operating instructions.
